The Tee That Feels Like It's Already Yours.
The Comfort Colors C1717 Adult Tee doesn't need a graphic to make a statement. The fabric does the talking. Garment-dyed, soft-washed, and made from 100% ring-spun USA cotton — this is the tee that feels broken-in from the first wear and only gets better from there. Eleven colors, each with that signature Comfort Colors depth and richness that flat-dyed tees simply can't replicate. This is the solid tee that earns a permanent spot in the rotation.
Construction Deep-Dive
Fabric: 6.1 oz. 100% ring-spun USA cotton — ring-spun yarn is made by continuously twisting and thinning cotton fibers into a fine, strong strand. The result is a smoother, softer, more durable fabric than open-end spun cotton. At 6.1 oz., this is a true heavyweight tee — substantial enough to drape beautifully and hold its shape wash after wash.
Garment-Dyed & Soft-Washed: The C1717 is dyed after construction — not before. Garment dyeing means the entire finished tee goes into the dye bath, allowing the color to penetrate every fiber, seam, and thread. The result is that signature Comfort Colors depth, slight color variation, and vintage-washed character that makes each tee feel one-of-a-kind. The soft-wash finish then relaxes the fabric for that perfectly worn-in feel straight out of the bag.
Sustainability: Made with sustainably and fairly grown USA cotton — sourced from American farms committed to responsible growing practices. The cotton is traceable, the supply chain is transparent, and the quality is built in from the field up.
Construction Details: Twill taped shoulder-to-shoulder for structure and durability at the seam most prone to stretching. Set-in sleeves for a clean, tailored shoulder line. Double-needle stitched sleeves and bottom hem for long-term durability. 1" ribbed collar with double-needle topstitched neckline — the collar that holds its shape and doesn't stretch out, no matter how many times you pull it over your head.
Color Moods
Blue Spruce — A deep, muted blue-green that sits somewhere between forest and ocean. Earthy, grounded, and quietly striking. The color that makes people ask "where did you get that tee?"
Blue Jean — Faded denim blue with that classic washed-out softness. Nostalgic, effortless, and endlessly wearable. The color that looks like it's been in your wardrobe for years — because it feels like it has.
Blossom — Soft, dusty pink with a vintage warmth. Not bubblegum, not blush — Blossom is the pink that works for everyone. Feminine without being precious, warm without being loud.
Black — Garment-dyed black with that signature Comfort Colors depth — richer and more dimensional than standard black tees. The foundation of every wardrobe, elevated.
Berry — Deep, jewel-toned purple-red. Bold without being aggressive. The color that adds richness to any outfit and pairs beautifully with neutrals, denim, and earth tones.
Bay — A warm, muted teal — the color of calm water on a cloudy day. Understated and sophisticated. The tee that works as a standalone statement or as the anchor of a layered look.
Yam — Warm, burnt orange with earthy depth. The color of autumn light and harvest season. Bold, grounded, and impossible to ignore in the best possible way.
Wine — Deep burgundy-red with a richness that reads as luxurious. The color that elevates a simple tee into something that looks intentional and considered.
White — Garment-dyed white with a soft, slightly warm tone — not stark, not clinical. The white that actually looks good in real life, in real light, on real people.
Watermelon — Bright, saturated pink-red with summer energy. The color that brings the fun without trying too hard. Pairs with denim, white, and neutrals for an instant warm-weather look.
Violet — Soft, dusty purple with a vintage, faded quality. Dreamy, creative, and quietly confident. The color for the person who wears their personality on their sleeve — literally.
Styling Guide
👖 The Classic Stack: Black or White tucked into straight-leg jeans with white sneakers — the heavyweight fabric drapes perfectly for a clean, effortless look.
🍂 Autumn Palette: Yam, Wine, or Berry with dark denim and boots — the garment-dyed depth makes these colors look like they were made for fall.
🌊 Summer Easy: Watermelon or Blossom with linen shorts and sandals — the soft-washed cotton breathes beautifully in warm weather.
🧔 Layered Cool: Blue Spruce or Bay under an open flannel or denim jacket — the muted tones layer without clashing.
🔥 Streetwear Foundation: Any colorway with cargo pants, an overshirt, and chunky sneakers — the 6.1 oz. weight gives the tee the structure that streetwear layering demands.
Care Guide
- 🌊 Machine wash cold, inside out
- 🔄 Tumble dry low — garment-dyed fabric may continue to soften with each wash
- 🚫 Do not bleach — protects the garment-dyed color depth
- 🚫 Do not iron directly on fabric
- 🚫 Do not dry clean
- ✅ Slight color variation between pieces is normal and intentional — it's the character of garment dyeing
