Construction Deep-Dive

Shell & Lining: 100% polyester shell and lining — the polyester shell provides wind resistance and a clean quilted surface. The polyester lining creates a smooth interior that layers easily over base layers and mid-layers.

Insulation: 2.4 oz. polyfill — a lightweight polyfill weight that provides warmth for cool to cold conditions without the bulk of a heavier fill. Polyfill maintains its insulating properties even when damp, making it the practical choice for variable weather. The 2.4 oz. fill weight is specifically chosen to allow the vest to pack down compactly into the included carrying pouch.

Water Protection: Water-repellent finish on shell + PU (polyurethane) coating on lining — a dual-layer water protection system. The DWR finish causes water to bead and roll off the shell surface. The PU coating on the lining adds an additional moisture barrier from the inside.

Zippers: Reverse coil zippers throughout — coil zippers use a continuous nylon spiral for a smoother, more flexible zip. The reverse construction faces the zipper pull inward for a cleaner exterior profile and reduced snagging.

Pockets: Zippered chest pocket and front zippered hand pockets — secure storage for essentials. The chest pocket doubles as the carrying pouch — the vest packs into its own chest pocket for compact, portable storage.
